I recently returned from two months of traveling through Southeast Asia . While I was there I researched and volunteered at various elephant sanctuaries and the hill tribe people. I wanted to show ethical and cultural awareness between the Karen people and the elephants and to help pave the way for a future in which elephants are not ridden, poached, overworked or abused.

With ethical tourism and education, the Karen people will be able to sustain not only a deeper connection with the elephants, but also their bonds with them.

Since my return I have been working on various writing projects about this trip, and hope to publish a book about my experiences and stories there.

My genre of writing is Creative Nonfiction.

This blog is about my writing, and research on the various topics, places and travels that are involved.
